A tempered glass and annealed glass may look the same however there is a slight difference which you can check to see if glass is tempered are not. Following are the signs to check in order to differentiate between tempered glass and annealed glass.
Check for Tempered Stamp
Check for tempered glass stamps on the corner or edge of the glass. Mostly a tempered glass panel has a stamp on it.
Use Polar Glasses
Use polar glasses to see strain patterns on the glass surface.
Check for Edges
Tempered glass also has smooth edges as compared to annealed glass.
Score a Line
You can also score a line on the surface of the glass to see if it is tempered or not. If the line is bumpy and uneven then it should be tempered glass however if it is smooth and straight then it is annealed glass.
